Make the most of your workout!
How fit are you? There are a couple of tests to find out. One of them is a push-up test. This is a very simple test, which is to see how many push ups can you do in 1 minute?
After warming up for a few minutes, begin by lying on the floor with palms and balls of feet touching floor. Push your body up onto balls of feet and palms, making a straight line from the top of your head to heels (women can be on knees). Begin timing 1 minute (have a friend help!) and do as many push ups as you can maintaing good form (eyes on floor, straight back, hips down).
To see how fit you are, use the tables below for men and women. If you’re not where you want to be – work pushups into your fitness routine 2-3 times per week to increase your strength. Keep with it!
