B is for Biceps!

Ah.. that glorious big muscle.. You guns. Your rocks. Whatever you call ‘em, the bicep is a two-headed muscle located above your elbow on the front of your arm.

Primarily, the biceps serve to pull things, whereas your triceps on the back of your upper arm serve to push things – they are thus, opposing muscles.

Working your biceps is pretty easy. The traditional “bicep curl” is one of the most common exercises  you see in fitness classes and workout DVDs.

A more advanced working exercise however that I love is called the “Bicep 21” which serves to really isolate the “top” and “bottom” end of a traditional curl.

No matter how you like to work your biceps, you should train this muscle 1-2 times each week.
