Little Bites of Heaven

We interupt your regularly scheduled blog post of the “What I learned in my first fitness competition” series, to bring you this YUMMY commercial break.

Seeking a chocolaty treat with a healthy kick? Look no further than my “little bites of heaven“! These nutty, dark chocolate bites are made with minimal sugar, oats, and protein powder – just the right ingredients to make them a perfect snack – and only 77 calories per treat!


  • 1 scoop vanilla or plain protein powder
  • 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1/4 cup PB2 powdered peanut butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp Land O’ Lakes light butter with canola oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips


  1. Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  2. In a small bowl, mix first 4 ingredients, set aside
  3. In another small bowl, mix sugar, agave syrup, powdered peanut butter together with a fork
  4. Add egg, light butter, and vanilla to sugar/pb mixture and blend until smooth
  5. Combine wet ingredients to dry mixture
  6. Fold in oats, dried cranberries, walnuts, and chocolate chips
  7. Line a mini-cupcake pan with mini baking cups
  8. Fill cups, then bake for approximately 15 minutes or until tops begin to brown
  9. Cool and enjoy!
