Make the most of your workout!
Wow that’s 4S’s! But hey my name starts with an S too so I get liberty.
This is a way to get even the pickiest kid to eat (ok drink) spinach. And I should know – I have one of the pickiest in my household.
Ingredients (per serving, double or triple as needed):
– 4 strawberries (frozen preferred fresh is fine)
– 1/2 banana
– handful spinach
– handful ice
– 1/2 cup whole milk (great for kids!) – cow, almond, soy, coconut, whatever!
– 1/2 cup water
– 2 tbsp. applesauce
– 1/2 cup 0% plain greek yogurt -OR- low fat cottage cheese (either makes it creamy!)
[For adults, you can add some protein powder, but add another 1/2 cup water and eliminate the milk]
Throw everything in blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes (if using VitaMixer use the smoothie setting). If too thick, just add a bit more water and blend again. If too thin, add more ice.
If your kid won’t eat this – they’re an alien!
